A New Year of Listening In
What happens when we pause?

Happy New Year ~
As the calendar turns, there’s often a lot of noise about who we should become, what we should fix, and how fast we should move forward. This year, I’m feeling called toward something quieter — listening more closely to who we already are.
Yoga invites us into this kind of listening every time we step onto the mat. Listening to the breath before we shape it. Listening to the body before we push it. Listening to the subtle cues that tell us when to soften, when to stay, and when to let go. In the new year, this practice of listening can become a steady companion — not just in class, but in daily life.
Rather than setting rigid resolutions, we can set intentions rooted in curiosity. What happens when we pause long enough to hear what we actually need? What if we trust the wisdom that’s already here, beneath the noise and expectations?
As we move through these early weeks of the year together, our classes will offer space to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with that inner voice — the one that knows when to rest, when to rise, and when simply being present is enough.
I’m so grateful to begin another year practicing alongside you. May this season be one of gentleness, honesty, and deeper listening — on the mat and beyond.
With warmth,

I’ll be in the Studio for Slow flow classes with meditation at Samsara
on Mondays (5:30-6:30) and Wednesdays (7:00-8:00).
