Amie Bliman
I became drawn to yoga in 2010 shortly after becoming a mother, which made me seek a deeper connection to my mind and body. It quickly became a haven for me, a connection, and a community. Over the past 14 years, I’ve practiced Vinyasa, Calm, Yin, Power, Restorative, and Aerial Yoga, before completing my certification in 2024.
One core principle that guides my teaching is encapsulated in the phrase: "We do not use the body to get into a pose; we use the pose to get into the body." This philosophy underscores the importance of mindfulness and intentionality in yoga practice. Rather than simply striving to achieve external forms or postures, my approach emphasizes using each pose as a gateway to deepen our internal awareness and connection with ourselves.
I’m originally from the East Coast, but have called the Pacific Northwest home since 2007. When I’m not in the studio, I’m running a consulting business, with my family on the soccer field, snuggling my Bernese Mountain Dog (Crosby), or traveling the globe!
