October Magic on the Mat
Embrace the unknown, release what no longer serves you, and step forward with curiosity.

Hello, friends!
As the leaves turn and the days grow shorter, October invites us into a season of mystery and transformation. Just as the veil between light and dark feels a little thinner this month, yoga reminds us to find balance between strength and softness, effort and ease.
In our practice, we can lean into the “spooky season” energy—embracing the unknown, releasing what no longer serves us, and stepping forward with curiosity. This can be as simple as letting go of tension in the body with each exhale, or as profound as noticing habits, stories, or fears that are ready to be shed. When we soften our grip on what we’ve outgrown, we create space for something new to emerge. Stepping forward with curiosity means trusting ourselves enough to move into uncharted territory, just as we do when trying a new pose or exploring a deeper breath. It’s a reminder that even in the dark, there is magic and possibility waiting to be discovered.
Think of your mat as a safe space to explore those shadows and shine your inner light, just like a jack-o’-lantern glowing against the autumn night.
On a personal note, I’ll be making some schedule adjustments this month as I begin a new day job. My teaching times may shift slightly, but my commitment to holding space for you and our practice together remains as strong as ever. Thank you for your patience and flexibility as I find the right balance—I’m excited to continue this journey with you.
This month, let’s move with intention, breathe deeply, and honor the magic of change. I’m excited to share the practice with you—costumes optional, good vibes required. 🎃🕸️🧘♀️
See you on the mat,

I’ll be in the Studio for evening classes at Samsara on Mondays (5:30-6:30) and Wednesdays (7:00-8:00).
In collaboration with Yoga+Beer, I’ll be leading an amazing practice at Cooper Mountain Ale Works.
