Hello, friends!

As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, November arrives with an invitation — not to do more, but to do less.

I like to think of this month as “No-vember” — a time to practice the quiet power of saying no with intention and love.

Saying no doesn’t have to feel harsh or closed off. In fact, it can be one of the most nurturing choices we make.
When we say no to the things that deplete us, we’re really saying yes — yes to stillness, yes to presence, yes to honoring what truly matters.

On your mat this month, let your breath guide you into a slower rhythm.
Notice the moments when you can soften your edges — when effort can give way to ease, and striving can transform into surrender.
Each exhale can become its own small “no”: a gentle release, a quiet clearing, a letting go.

Off the mat, carry that same awareness into your days.
Say no to overscheduling, to rushing, to the need to fill every space.
Say no to the inner critic who tells you that rest must be earned.
Say no to anything that doesn’t align with your peace.

Every “no” creates a sacred pause — a breath between what was and what’s next.
And in that space, something beautiful can grow: clarity, calm, and a deeper connection to yourself.

This November, may you give yourself permission to choose less — not out of lack, but out of love.
To say no, so that your yes can be full-hearted and free.

With warmth and gratitude,

I’ll be in the Studio for Slow flow classes at Samsara on Mondays (5:30-6:30) and Wednesdays (7:00-8:00).

In collaboration with Yoga+Beer, I’ll be leading two practices at Breakside brewing (LO & Beaverton).
